I'll soon be using aircraft stripper to remove the paint around the inside of my boat. One thing I'm concerned with is potential damage to the two part foam. My boat's foam is in excellent shape and I want to keep it if at all possible.

Does anyone know if the aircraft stripper will damage the foam and if so, what did you use to protect your foam when using the stripper?

Thank you for your help,

Dave

I don't know for sure if it will damage your foam, but I know it did eat through a Styrofoam cup I was using to when stripping my boat.

When we were kids we used to combine styrofoam and gasoline in soda bottles for crude napalm throwing bombs. Don't think you wanna marry the two together. You'd end up with a sticky, combustible mess.
