I have 12ft 91 sears game fisher I bought. Just wondering if could just re buck the rivets and fill the seems with 5200? Also i use this boat in puget sound for crabbing, so would it be ok with saltwater exposure? I cant really afford steelflex. Any ideas as to what types of sealents and/or epoxies that are relativly resonably priced to use or just ideas would be appreciated!

5200 is the way to go. Sounds like you got it covered, you shouldn't have any problems in salt water, just spray it down when you get home. Better safe than sorry...

Rebuck your rivets and use Gluvit on the inside on your seams. Gluvit is thinner than 5200 and will seep into the tiny cracks and pinholes of your seams. You'll need to paint over the Gluvit because it breaks down with UV exposure, but it's real good stuff.

This is an easy one man fix if you know which rivets are bad in your boat.
