I found these at work and gave them a try as wire pass through ports when installing electronics. They're rubber doughnuts for use in semi-truck air line glad hands. Drill a 1 1/8 hole and they snap in. They'll prevent chafing, are pretty waterproof, and can pass a wire bundle 5/8 in diameter. Plus they're cheap.
