This may sound a bit stupid and I should know the answer but I just can't get it into my head. When putting my trailer back together Sunday I noticed something that sits on my mind. My trailer has 8" tires and I saw they were only rated for like 560#. I assume this meands that each tire for the 560 and a total of 1120 lbs for both.
Is this correct? If not, I'll need to move to a larger tire size. I got the rig last year and had no problems with anything as far as tires or towing.

Yes the rating is per tire. You can also get higher rated 8 inch tires.Moving to a larger size wheel tire combo is good for traveling, but raises the trailer up.Raising a trailer up means that you have to back further down the ramp to launch the boat.IIRC,every inch up means the trailer will have to go back 2 inches further to launch the boat.
