While I have them out, the specs on mine (1985 model) are:
5 persons or 695 pounds
1010 Pounds, Persons, Motor, Gear
35 Horse power motor.
Now, your plate, since yours is before an '85, would have said 40 horsepower, as in '85, the motor rating system was changed, so a modern 35 is about equal to an old 40, hence the variances in capacities.
Go to this link, and look around. There are actually a few 14 foot mods, although none of this model Alumacraft (a couple of the older, narrower ones).

Evattman also did a good one, that isn't in that link (hint hint Jim  ), so you can search for that in the jon conversion subsection.
Here is one a guy on a different forum did to a T14XL.

Later, he went and put a casting deck in the bow, that went from the little seat in the bow, to the first full bench, with a pedestal seat, and one storage box underneath. Unfortunately, that board is having technical issues at the moment, so I can't get the link to that.
Clean all that crud out of the motor, then see if it runs. You have an excellent motor there, so there shouldn't be problems getting it running.
I really am not certain what I am going to do with mine. Once you get past the point of modding/restoring boats to have a fishing platform that fits your uses, and start modding/restoring boats for the heck of it, you find yourself buying them, without a use in the world for them. Right now, I am still working on making up a use for it.
Could you do me a favor, though? As you saw in my thread, mine lacks a splashwell. Since I have the abilities to cut/bend/rivet/weld aluminum, I would like to make a copy of the original splashwell, to reinstall in it. Any chance you could take a few detailed pictures, and possibly a couple measurements, so I know what I am working towards?
