Kill Switch hook up

My 1977 Evinrude 9.9 was missing the kill switch when I bought it. It had 2 wires (Black with white stripe)coming from the coils. I figued this was where you hooked up the kill switch. I bought a kill switch with a lanyard. It has 4 posts on the back of the switch. The diagram says to hook up 2 for the ignition or 2 for the magneto. Any thoughts which ones to hook up for the kill switch? The posts all look the same and are not marked. Thanks for any help. Toff

You need the 2 post that are for normally open.That is the 2 you use will have no continuity with kill in place but will when lanyard is pulled it does.Hope I made this clear for you.
