Impeller replacement 90 hp Mercury

Was out on water last night and noticed water was just a trickle coming out of vent hole. Had me kinda worried how much that would cost in parts and labor.
So I decided to try it myself. It's a 1999 90hp mercury. I bought whole kit, knowing it probably needed it since has never been serviced by previous owner or since I got boat last fall. Kit was $120. It was a breeze replacing. Replacing everything took me about 45 mins. Saw that seal was broken. Now it just shoots water out!!!!!

Thats awesome. Feels good saving money and doing it yourself huh?

The older they get, the more they fight back. Last water pump I changed a bolt broke upon removal courtesy the previous owner/tech that replaced the pump. Under an hour went right out the window.
