Greetings
I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone can help me? I have a 2003 merc 4 stroke that has not been run in a least a year and a half. It was put away with gas in the fuel system. I have put fresh gas in, new filter before the low pressue fuel pump. By disconnecting fuel lines I know I can pump fuel up to the housing for the high pressure fuel pump. I can not get fuel beyond that point. When I first tried to start the motor it would run for a second or two then quite. I then found the 2nd filter after the vst, dumped the gas out and reinstalled it. I know that I can not get gas to the second filter or the motor to fire at all. I do have factory manual that I am following but before I went any farther I thought I would ask for guidance. Thanks for any help you can give me
