How hard of a job is changing them on a 2000 25 yami four stroke? I'm pretty mechanically savvy, I'm not worried about that part. I've just never hunted around for them on that motor to see how hard they are to get to.

They are easy.

Fuel pump is mounted on the back of the cylinder head cover. Pair of 10mm bolts holding it to the head cover. There is a strap that runs across the top of the pump, re-use the strap. Watch out for an O-ring that usually sticks on the fuel pump, need to re-use it unless Yamaha sends it with the new pumps now.

Thermostat is equally easy. Port side of the engine, ahead of the voltage regulator, you'll find the exhaust cover. At the top of that cover is a "bulge", top left if memory serves me correctly. Pair of 10mm bolts, remove it, and the thermostat lives underneath it. The gasket often breaks during removal of the cover, so be sure to get a new one with your thermostat.

10mm socket and maybe a 4" long extension, 1/4" drive, works well.
