Ok so this project has been a very enlightening experience so far. I have gotten the hull ground to bare metal took about 12 hours grind time over a few days. Did the leak test and found a few leaks but not to bad. At this point I am going to grind down the seams and the rivets on the inside...

Getting started on my new project and just water tested and have a few leaks but not to bad for a 60's boat. Can anyone tell me if you need a special rivet or can you use just a regular pop rivet. I will seal around it with 5200 but wont it leak through the middle of the rivet ?

Thanks the boat is really pretty sound for the age and the price was right it came with a vintage holtsclaw trailer for $400. It has a built in livewell. It will come in handy on future tournaments. I tried the stripper on the paint no go back to the grinder!!!!!!

Makin some headway. Seems my boat is a Fisher 14 with a FL14W model which means it has a built in live well. As for the year the search continues it may be a 60's boat for sure.
