I just picked-up a '71 Evinrude sportster 25 and I've got a few questions. Can someone confirm that the recommended fuel mix is 50:1?
The motor has been stored for @ 20 years, I ordered a carb kit, impeller kit and will change the lower unit lube. Anything else that should be done before I attempt to bring this beast back to life?

Yep, 50:1 is right.

Along with what you are planning on doing, I would pop the flywheel, and clean/regap the points. Even if they were gapped correctly before, sitting for that long is going to leave the contacts dirty, where they may not give you spark. Be sure to use a flywheel puller to remove the flywheel (as opposed to knocking it with a hammer), and then be sure to torque the flywheel when you reinstall (40 - 45 ft. pounds), as an improperly torqued flywheel nut can cause the woodruff key to snap.
