Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone would happen to know what size rivet including flare size I would need to re attach the corner bracket to the boat. I need to replace the 2x4 that goes inside the aluminum piece that the motor mounts to. The boat is currently out in the middle of the woods hours away from any sort of civilization and I’m trying to go in with all of the parts I need. The boat is a 1975 Mirrocraft. Not the Deep V. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks.

Even from the same mfgr they might not be the same size. Rivets can and do vary in dia, the mfgrs have a variety on hand and workers use what they need. You might consider just going with 1/4" and be done, take a drill along to open the holes if needed. Just a recomendation....You also might take 3/16" dia and some washers in case the holes are larger..

In this situation, I would use 1/4-20 ss button head cap screws instead of rivets
If you are worried about corrosion just use some plastic or rubber washers
