Howdy All,
In preparation for a trip next weekend I pulled the boat out of the barn and fired up the 1998 25HP Merc to let her run a bit. Looks like the carb float was stuck in the down position, as fuel came dripping out of the cowling when I primed the fuel bulb - first time that happened.
I finally got her running and did so for a good 20 minutes. Seems to start again just fine now but my question is, do I need to open the carb to check on that float, or will the operation of the motor yesterday (heat, vibrations) get that float moving properly again?
Just FYI - last time I ran this motor was 3 weeks prior.
