I finally got to go fishing. Things have been real crazy at home so I have not had the time. I went to this lake near my house b/c I did have much time. I could not believe the number of fish shallow and cruising. They were not on beds but they seem to be searching. So got my first chance ever to sight fish.
There were not spooked by anything, I threw everything at them, they would not take it. Then I found a soft plastic that I got for free from Mann's and that did the trick. I think they call it the Mosquitoe. I fished it until the bait was torn and beaten to death.
I would have caught more but I was very quick on the hook set. When I waited to see them swim off then set the hook. I hope things get better so i can get out again.
