Island Lake (Orangeville Reservoir) - Orangeville, Ontario, Canada
My usual fishing partner (next to the wife) and I got to get out today.
We fished from about 830am - 330pm.
Air temps, low - 46. High - 59.
Water temps were low 60s.
Pretty clear day, very little wind.
We managed 5 LM and a bunch of little pike. We used frogs, jigs, crankbaits, plastics. Started first thing in the morning by throwing white SPRO frogs. Third cast of the day I land my new personal best for Canadian waters. She weighed in at 4lb 9oz and was somewhere around 21 inches (I was too excited to properly measure it). Next my partner lands a 3lb 9oz like 20 minutes later on a frog. He gets another over 3lbs soon after on a senko.
So after about 1 hour on the water we have like 11.5 lbs with only 3 bass.
After that it was like someone in bassville hit the off switch and the bite died.
Only managed 1 more keeper and 1 dink.
Here is some pics, sorry for the quality no camera only cell phone.
