Nice job, I am thinking about copying your rod holders and I am planning on using the aluminum framing also, one of my favorite boats so far on tinboats....Keep up the good work, I am looking forward to seeing the finished product. I am 6'4" and 275 what thickness plywood are you using on your aluminum framing.

Tight Lines....

Hey everybody, I hate to revive an old dead post, but I found the bookmark for this site and realized I never posted photos of my boat after I "finished" it. Not that it will ever be finished, but it's to a point where I can fish out of it. Here's what it looked like with the decks in place before I carpeted and assembled everything:

And here's what it looks like today, ready to fish:

The boat really ended up better than I thought it would. It's smooth and stable in the water, and we can fish 3 guys out of it (cramped with one in the middle on a cooler). It's the perfect boat for 2 guys and a lazy afternoon on the water. Not built for speed, but with dual batteries, I can stay out all day and I've never come close to running them down. I really enjoy this little boat, if only I had time to fish more!

Boat looks great. What is the built in winch for? Where did you buy those hatches?

Thanks. I got the hatches from Cabelas. I built the boat for pond hopping with the idea that there wouldn't be boat ramps and I could take off the outboard and back the boat off in the lake, then use the winch to get it back on the trailer. In reality, I've only used it a couple times for that, but I use it to raise/lower the anchor when it's windy.
