My 1977 10 footer has been taking on a bit of water, so over the holiday I decided to paint the bottom to seal up all the rivets. First I applied JB Weld to some knicks, then two coats of paint, all for $20. Good ole Rustoleum Metal & Aluminum primer, and an oil based (for metal) enamel in Hunter green. Two quarts and disposible brushes and had change left from a $20.00. Worked like a charm, dry as a bone now. You can spend more on paint, here is a durable, low cost alternative. Photo shows primer and the high gloss top coat. That bottom is now so slick I think I gained a knot or two in speed!
