 6:15AM-11:45PM Sunny, calm turning windy, 80-90+air temps, 84-87 water temps, stained water. Fishing was very slow the first few hours. My buzzbait got a strike but no hookup. Lost a small bass while pitching a Brush hog into some thick stuff. I started covering more water with a Rapala DT-3 crankbait. Finally landed a bass. Got another one soon after on a Redeye lipless crank. The wind picked up which seemed to turn up the action. The DT and the lipless crank were catching them at a steady pace. Lost a few also. A little after 11:00AM I got a BIG strike on the SK Redeye. What a fight. She jumped clearly out of the water right in front of me. Weighed in officially at 6lb 9oz. My new Berkley scale is off one ounce(under) on a 5lb weight so I call it a 6-10. Caught some more afterwards ending up with a total of 13 keeper sized LM bass. Back to reality tomorrow(I call it work).
