What's with the weather?!!!

This year an amazing amount of rain. Air temperature last week near 80; last night 40 degrees and today in the low 60's with a high wind with gusts of 20mph. Guess no fishing until Tues.

We've had a pretty severe drought here this year. Rivers were the lowest I've ever seen in the 25yrs I've been fishing them. Upper reaches of the Chesapeake bay have a high enough salinity level people are catching salt water species that have typically never been seen that far up. The water got so warm in the Shenandoah river they banned fishing for fear it would kill the fish due to the low oxygen levels. Supposedly the lowest ever recorded on that river. Last I heard we were like 6" below avg ainfall for the year but I'm sure winter will clobber us with snow to make up for it.
