Can I cut out a section of a seat 2 make a storage bin or livewell or would it mess with the stability ir structure of my jon boat?

It should not affect the stability or structure if your talking about cutting out a spot for a lid. Some jons come like that from the factory. There is probably flotation foam in there though. That would be your call if you wanted to remove that or not.

Robb it would be fine. Check out the link for my build at the bottom of the page. I cut mine out for battery storage.
