Evinrude 9.9hp tiller engine anode

I’m new to boating, so here’s my question. I recently bought my first outboard motor. I plan on using it mainly in saltwater. What type of anode is recommended, and where does it go? Thanks in advance.

If newer, it is likely your outboard has anodes to be checked/replaced as part of routine maintenance. Maybe check your owner's manual for details. If you don't have the owner's manual, you can see one on-line at the manufacturer's site. Maybe some older models didn't have them, IDK.
