I have a 1996 15 HP Johnson outboard that is a long shaft. I want to make it into a short shaft so what parts do I need to do this. Thanks Ivan

Well you are going to need a shorter driveshaft and a shorter foot. Post a photo of your engine if you can and I can be more descriptive. It should not be too hard and it is possible that your drive shaft has an extension that makes it a Long shaft engine.

Huh??????
There is no shorter "foot"
There is no driveshaft extension.

The only extension currently on your engine is a 5" exhaust housing extension.

You will need a shorter driveshaft, water tube, and shift shaft.
Your gearcase or lower unit remains the same.
Go to marineengine.com and look up your parts for the conversion.
