You'd think that a news caster could report the correct boat. It's not a rubber boat it's a rigid RIB. The only rubber is the inflated tube and the rest is either aluminum or fiberglass.

Regardless it was a stupid stunt that could have been done with CGI or hell they had Chuck Norris on set. Just let him hold that grenade, he would have been fine...
