Wish I could reach mine from the inside, splash well then live well all in front, arms not long enough!! Never lost one, hope I don't...gotta keep that bilge pump in good working order, just in case !!

Sounds similar to how my big boat is setup . I can't get to mine either there is a lot of stuff installed in the transom area would be impossible to fish my arm through it all to get to the plug. Even if I somehow managed the bilge pumps sit right next to it on either side not leaving any room to twist it in and tighten it down.

We were fishing in Lake Michigan one day when I noticed water coming in the boat. The cam type plug had failed. After that episode I had many extras in the boat.

Had a similar moment years back, launched boat, forgot plug, busy holiday weekend, over a quarter mile to overflow parking then a long hike back to the ramp !! There was still a couple inches of freeboard showing by the time I got back....
