What Kind of Gas?

I wish I could get non-ethanol gas near me. I generally use 89 octane in my outboards, I/O, and lawn equipment. As of this season, will be using Startron additive. While the newer engines are usually rated for 87 min, some of my older ones had a higher minimum. As far as any performance benefit from running higher octane, in most cases not. If you have computer control or adaptive timing, then there might be some perf benefit. Otherwise, you would need to increase the timing advance slightly to gain anything.
